If you love to think, you’ll love Millsaps.
We focus on mind expansion rather than rote memorization. From our nationally recognized Writing Program (one of the top 20 in the country according to U.S. News and World Report) to our low faculty-to-student ratio to the emphasis the College places on student research, a Millsaps education is anything but mechanical or impersonal. Millsaps’ passionate and nationally recognized faculty members hold Ph.D.s from many of the nation’s top universities. They’ll teach you not only how to think critically about life’s big questions, but also to question the answers.
Our liberal arts curriculum will start you on the mind-opening path to becoming a well-rounded, well-educated, and well-prepared individual in a rapidly changing world; it will challenge you to work harder, think more deeply, and go further than you ever knew you could, in all of your life’s endeavors. Our special programs are designed with these goals in mind: Faith & Work will help you explore the intersection between career and calling, and to discover a deeper meaning behind your everyday activities. Heritage is a year-long, interdisciplinary journey through history, literature, philosophy, religion, and the fine arts. At the Else School of Management, you can earn your M.B.A. in just one year after earning your undergraduate degree. And there’s no limit to learning at our biocultural reserve in Yucatán.
At Millsaps, thinking is our first priority, and our academic programs show it.
