We can't wait to see you on campus!

Here are your next steps to help you get set up for life at Millsaps:

  1. Make Your Deposit: The first step to secure your spot at Millsaps is submitting a $250 deposit, quickly and securely online. Your deposit will unlock all of the additional steps below.  If you need help retrieving your Applicant Portal details contact Admissions admissions@millsaps.edu or 601-974-1050.

  2. Major Portal & Millsaps Email Account: Once you have made your Deposit you will receive your Millsaps account details.  You will use Major Portal, your online student account, to access class registration, financial aid, billing and other important information. You will also use these log-in details to access your Millsaps Email account (e.g. lastnameab). Go ahead and set up your email now, as faculty, staff and other students will connect with you through your Millsaps email address. If you need further assistance the Help Desk 601.974.1144 or helpdesk@millsaps.edu.

  3. Financial Planning: Be sure to review your financial aid package. Sign into Major Portal and complete the required forms. Once you have logged in, click on the "Financial Aid" box. Under the "Checklist", you will see where action is needed for any required documents. Follow the link for the required documents to complete them. Our goal is to ensure that Millsaps will be a good financial fit for all four years of your undergraduate experience.

Explore all the ways Millsaps helps you afford a world-class education, including through payment plan options. Visit Student Billing and Payment Information to help you with financial planning; you will receive initial billing statements this summer.

  4. Housing: Complete a housing application for students entering fall 2018 to ensure your place on campus. The priority deadline is May 1st.  You’ll receive your roommate pairing confirmation the 1st week of July. If you know someone who you’d like to room with please ensure you both indicate this on the housing application. If you find a roommate after you submit your form (for example at orientation),  be sure that you both let us know.  Otherwise we will use all the info you provided on your housing app, to ensure we match you up with a great roommate!   You can get more details about residence life and be sure to contact housing@millsaps.edu to submit any updates.

  5. Summer Orientation & Academic Advising: After you deposit you will be able to register for one of our required Orientation sessions. Our faculty and staff believe that giving you the best advice regarding your academic program is an integral part of our mission. You will meet one-on-one with your advisor during one of our orientation sessions to set up your schedule and register for classes. Academic advising and class registration will be finalized during your orientation session, so be sure to register ASAP.  Contact Kia Smith, director of academic advising and student support, at advising@millsaps.edu or 601.974.1755 with any questions.

  6. Medical Forms & Immunization Records: Review the Immunization Requirements policy for admission. You will be able to download the health history form and upload proof of immunizations through Medicat the immunization portal (use your Millsaps credentials to log-in). If you have any questions contact Nurse Carol Lowe at health@millsaps.edu.

  7. Don't Forget to Explore Your New Home! Learn about attending college in a capital city - the city of Jackson, MS. You can also chat with your counselor or a current student, arrange a visit, explore our academic programs and of course student life!
