2007: All-SCAC Honorable Mention ... SCAC Player of the Week (Week 7) ... D3football.com National Team of the Week selection (Week 7)... played in all 10 of the Majors' games as a JC transfer, making an immediate impact at defensive back and ranking eighth on the team in total tackles with 34 (27 solo) ... tied for the team lead and ranked t-4th in the SCAC with four INTs, picking up two apiece versus league opponents Rhodes and Sewanee ... notched a career-high eight tackles in a 68-6 blowout win at Colorado College on Nov. 3 ... scored his first points as a Major with a 14-yard fumble return for a TD at Sewanee ... also forced a fumble at MS College in the season-opener to go along with six tackles in his Millsaps debut ... third on the team with six pass breakups.

Copiah-Lincoln JC: Played two seasons in the defensive backfield for head coach Glenn Davis … South Division and Golden Isles Bowl Champions in 2006 ... recorded 35 tackles and one interception in his sophomore campaign.

High School: Lettered in football three years as a defensive back and wide receiver for head coach Anthony Hart at Franklin County High School … District 7-3A Champions in 2004 with a 12-3 record … All-Area, All-District, and All-State honors in 2004 and 2005 … voted team’s Most Valuable Defensive Back his season year … also lettered in track two years and basketball two years, as his team won the South State Championship in 2005.

Personal: Raised in Meadville and Natchez, Miss. … son of Benard and Ernestine Selmon … has an older brother, Byron (23) and younger brother Benard Selmon (10) … works as an assistant in the sports information department during the offseason ... majoring in business administration.
