Millsaps College, a highly selective national liberal arts college, invites applications for a tenure-track position in the Department of Mathematics.
Starting Date: This initial appointment will be at the Assistant Professor level with a starting date of August 2010.
Teaching Load: The teaching load for this position is 6 courses per academic year.
Terms: A Ph.D. in mathematics is required. Prior teaching experience is desirable. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to quality undergraduate teaching and liberal arts education and be able to teach a wide range of courses in mathematics. The successful candidate is also expected to develop a strong scholarly agenda, lead undergraduate research, and provide service to the Department and the College.
Additional Salary Information: Salary to be negotiated with academic dean of college.
