Dean of Enrollment Management

Founded in 1890, Millsaps College is an independent, national, liberal arts institution affiliated with the United Methodist Church. Millsaps seeks to be recognized as the premier college in the South and one of the best in the nation for developing compassionate and principled leaders and citizens for a global society. Millsaps College has a Phi Beta Kappa chapter and is located in Jackson, MS, the vibrant capital of Mississippi.

The Position: The Dean of Enrollment Management leads the enrollment growth efforts, overseeing the office of Admissions and Financial Aid as well as playing a key role in Admissions marketing and strategic planning.  The Dean will work with staff in both Admissions and Financial Aid to develop practices consistent with the goals and philosophy of the College.  The Dean will also continue to build collaborative relationships with other institutional departments across the College in order to coordinate and focus institutional efforts on a student centered approach to recruitment.  Salary will reflect the candidate’s experience.  The College is looking for a dynamic personality willing to commit at least five years to the College.  The Dean of Enrollment Management reports to the President and serves on the President’s Cabinet.

Qualifications: Master’s degree required and a minimum of five years of progressively responsible work in the area of enrollment management.  Additionally, the ideal candidate should possess the following: demonstrated leadership and effective management skills; demonstrated ability to work well with teams to achieve established goals; excellent written and communication skills; an ability to maintain a budget; and understanding of prospect management for mailing lists and markets; an understanding of the demographic, social, and economic factors influencing enrollment; a knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs; a knowledge of technology, including financial aid net revenue modeling.  Travel, weekend and evening work are required, as necessary, to meet position requirements.
