Business Office - Fall 2008 Registration Information


Registration Deadlines

  • Payment for FALL Term is due July 31.
  • To determine when your classes begin, please refer to the College Academic Calendar on pages 3-5 of the Millsaps College Catalog.
  • Two lists will be posted on the website prior to each registration:
    • If your name is listed on "Registration - Complete", you do not have to attend registration.
    • If your name is listed on "Registration - Incomplete", you have documents which require your signature in order to complete registration requirements.
  • If your name is not on either list, this indicates that your registration is incomplete. Your presence is required in the Business Office to process your current semester enrollment.
    • Any pre-registered student whose name is not on the Registration - Complete list and who fails to check in with the Business Office during the registration period will be charged a $100 late check-in fee.
    • Students who have not pre-registered and do not register for classes during the registration period will be assessed a $50 late registration fee upon enrollment.
    • You will need to complete registration, including payment of your student account balance, in the Business Office during registration.
  • Refer to Registration Announcements for specific instructions regarding registration.

Tips to ensure a Complete Registration Status

  • Student has enrolled in desired classes with the Office of Records.
  • Student has completed and returned all financial aid documents by the required deadlines for processing.
  • In order for an Alternative or F-Plus Parent Loan to be included as part of your payment for the upcoming semester, the Office of Financial Aid must have received a guarantee from the lender prior to registration .
  • Required Business Office forms have been completed and returned.
  • For payment in full, check should be received in the Business Office by the due dates noted above.
  • If you are on a payment plan, all payments must be current and all miscellaneous charges must be paid in full.

By completing the necessary steps in a timely manner, many of you will not have to attend registration. We hope you will find the registration process to be easy and convenient.

If your plans have changed and you will not be returning to Millsaps College for the upcoming semester, please notify the Office of Records at (601)974-1120.
