 Graduation
begins at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, May 10 , and is traditionally
held in the Bowl, the outdoor area adjacent to the A. Boyd Campbell
College Center.
During commencement,
campus safety staff will be at all entrances of the campus to assist
with parking. Chairs will be provided, but it is also permissible
to bring lawn chairs, which can be placed in the few shady areas
around the Bowl. Some families with small children like to bring
a quilt so they can move away from the crowd and give the children
a little more freedom. In case of rain, graduation ceremonies will
be held at Christ United Methodist Church at 6000 Old Canton Road.
We suggest that
you dress for warm weather! The Commencement ceremony begins at
9:30 a.m. and will last about two hours. Coffee, soft drinks, and
water will be available for purchase at the Kava House, located
on the basement level of the A. Boyd Campbell College Center, from
8:00 - 9:30 a.m. for early-comers. Restrooms are available in Sullivan-Harrell
Hall and the A. Boyd Campbell College Center. Family will not be
allowed in the Academic Complex, where graduates robe and line up
prior to the ceremony.
