“Millsaps College has a rich legacy that has been shaped by the lives of those people who have called it home. Whether a student passing through for a few short years or a treasured professor whose tenure spans several generations, it has been, and always will be, a legacy peppered with the influences of its people. The Millsaps legacy is both traditional and forward-thinking, a warm and complex combination of past, present and future that come together to create a place where ideas are born, friendships are cemented and lives are transformed.

Legacy: A Campaign for Millsaps College offers us the opportunity to build on this legacy by ensuring excellence for our students, faculty, programs and facilities both now and for generations to come. I deeply appreciate each person who has given a bit of themselves to Millsaps to make it what it is today, and I eagerly anticipate what lies ahead.”

“Millsaps did more than simply educate me. Millsaps offered me a sense of place, a sense of home where I learned about myself and about others. A place where I was secure enough to think about who I was and what I wanted. A place that helped me shape my dreams for the future. And today, Millsaps is still that place. Every student that passes through this campus brings the desire to discover the world, and at the same time, discover himself or herself. And here, each student finds both the challenge and the encouragement to do just that. Legacy: A Campaign for Millsaps College is an aggressive and ambitious undertaking and will require our best, the energy and resources of all those who cherish the College. The Millsaps legacy is one of excellence, handed down from generation to generation, and has been given to us. What we do with it will be our legacy.
