All IVI Hours are free.
Gertrude C. Ford Academic Complex, Room 137 at 3-4pm
Unless otherwise noted
IVI Hours are intended to help our students think in flexible and creative ways about majors, careers, and our lives in the world. We also highlight faculty stories to encounter and celebrate one another as whole, complex, and irreducibly unique persons in our community. These programs embrace vocational exploration as a critical element of an education that forms individual persons in community to cultivate practices for the common good.
The Initiative for Vocational Inquiry (IVI) is the academic branch of the Institute for Civic and Professional Engagement. IVI includes four of Millsaps’ interlocking programs: Community Engaged Learning (CEL), the academic minor in Vocation, Ethics, and Society (VESO), the Wellspring living and learning community, and the Center for Career Education.
