The Millsaps Singers will present their fall concert, “The French Connection,” Thursday evening, October 11, at 7:30 p.m. The concert, which is free and open to the public, will take place in the Ford Academic Complex Recital Hall. $5 donations will be accepted at the door, and covered parking is available from the Park Avenue entrance off State Street. The Singers’ 80-voice stage choir will present a variety of French choral music with featured guest artist Margaret Cooper Wilson, a 2005 graduate of the college, on the organ. The Singers’ presentations of French folk songs, a selection from the comic opera “La Jolie Parfumeuse” and Vierne’s “Kyrie Eleison” will be complemented by Wilson’s performances of organ works by French composers Franck, Widor and Messiaen.
