Faculty Position in Finance

The Else School of Management at Millsaps College seeks qualified candidates for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate level beginning in the Fall of 2019. A specialization in Investments and Corporate Finance is preferred but those with a primary interest in other areas will also be considered. Applicants should hold or be near completion of a Ph.D. or DBA from an AACSB International accredited school, and progress in the CFA Program is desirable. Candidates interested in teaching aligned with the CFA curriculum and with student managed funds are especially encouraged. Relevant professional work experience is highly desirable as is experience with online or blended learning.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching Finance to undergraduate and graduate students. The Else School of Management supports teaching, service and research goals by maintaining a balanced faculty load commensurate with expectations of excellence in teaching and research. The undergraduate and graduate programs have gained a distinction through the faculty’s commitment to quality teaching and research, experiential learning, international emphasis, and close student-faculty involvement. The programs of the Else School have been recognized by CEO Magazine, Forbes, New European Economy and the Princeton Review.

Located in Jackson, the commercial, governmental and cultural center of Mississippi, Millsaps is a selective, nationally-recognized liberal arts college with both AACSB International accreditation and a chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. The Else School of Management includes 15 full-time faculty members, and maintains high-quality programs in business by keeping classes small to support a student-centered participative learning environment. The normal teaching load for a faculty member is five courses per year. Salary is competitive.
