Millsaps to Host Noted Author and Speaker Richard Simmons III for "Living as a Christian in a Secular World" Seminar

 

Millsaps College will host noted author and speaker Richard Simmons III to campus on Saturday, February 23, 2013. Presented by the Firm Foundation, Simmons will conduct a seminar entitled "Living as a Christian in a Secular World." The seminar will be held in the Leggett Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door, and are priced at $40 for individuals, $70 for couples, and $8 for students; lunch will be included. Richard Simmons III is a well-known author and speaker on topics including the struggles of finding God in difficult economic times and difficult social times He is the author of The Forgotten God, Safe Passage, and The True Measure of a Man.

He serves as executive director of The Center of Executive Leadership in Birmingham, Alabama. A graduate of the University of the South, he was formerly CEO of Hilb, Rogal and Hamilton, a property and casualty insurance firm. His latest book is Reliable Truth: The Validity of the Bible in an Age of Skepticism.
