Millsaps' close-knit campus community makes it easy to get involved with activities outside the classroom. With over 80 student organizations—clubs, religious organizations, service organizations, student publications, Greek life, student government—there's something for everyone.
The Socializing Activities and Programming for Students (SAPS) plans concerts, dances, parties, and events for the entire campus. Sunny days will find students chatting and relaxing in the Bowl - the aptly named courtyard in the center of campus. Greek life, with national fraternities and sororities, offers students opportunities for service, scholarship, and leadership. The Multicultural Affairs (MCA) Diversity group sponsors events to help the campus celebrate and appreciate diversity. The Millsaps Multi-Faith Initiative and Millsaps Ecumenical Community work closely with the College Chaplain, organizing events and projects that allow students of all religious faiths to learn and grow from serving the greater community together.
Nearly 86% of our students choose to live on campus - making it easy to get to class on time. On campus food options include the Caf', offering an "all you can eat" food court; the Kava House, a coffee shop with a bistro-type lunch menu; and Reuben's, the campus café. Staying in shape is easy and fun at the 63,000-sqare-foot HAC (Maurice H. Hall Activities Center). The HAC houses sports and fitness facilities including a well-equipped gym; basketball, racquetball, volleyball, and squash courts; and an outdoor pool.
