We’re excited you’re interested in applying to Millsaps! Applying for college shouldn’t be confusing. Here are a few helpful details to make the process easier. Our admissions counselors are always available to answer your questions.
Important Dates & Deadlines
Stay up-to-date with all the dates and deadlines! Millsaps College offers two application options for first-year applicants: nonbinding Early Action and Regular Decision. Once you’re admitted, the next step is to secure your spot and submit your deposit by the deadline below!

How to Apply (required and optional information)

Complete your Millsaps College application.
Choose whether you will apply with your ACT or SAT scores considered, or without an ACT or SAT score. Students for whom English is a second language should submit their results of the IEL TS or TOEFL Millsaps’ code is 1471.
If you’re applying with standardized test scores, your scores should either be sent from ACT or SAT or appear on your official high school transcript. Millsaps’ ACT code is 2212, and our SAT code is 1471.

All undergraduate students applying to Millsaps need an official high school transcript before an admission decision can be received. Transfer students will need to submit all transcripts from any college previously attended.
Official transcripts can be submitted one of two ways:
- Electronically through the Common App, Slate.org, SEND.edu, Parchment, Scoir or Scribbles Software.
- As a hardcopy via the postal mail from the school.
Please note: Millsaps College does not accept faxed transcripts as official academic records.

Final High School/College Transcript (before enrollment at Millsaps)
Before enrolling at Millsaps, your high school counselor will need to send us your final transcript verifying graduation. Transfer students will need to provide the most updated transcript from the last institution attended.

Our Review Process (how we evaluate applications)
We begin the review process in August and evaluate your application based on your:
- High school grades
- Class selection and rigor
- Activities
- We also take into consideration any submitted test scores, letters of recommendation and essays.
We begin releasing applicant decisions in August, and we verify any data prior to enrollment.

Any discrepancy in data may result in a change to your merit scholarship package and/or void our decision.
Financial Aid & Scholarships (college affordability packages)
We have great news! If you’re admitted to Millsaps, you already qualify for merit-based scholarships!
We recommend all students, regardless of family income, complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before March 1. Our FAFSA code is 002414.

Admitted New Students (what you need to know)

Here are your next steps to help you get set up for life at Millsaps:
- Make Your Deposit: The first step to secure your spot at Millsaps is submitting a $250 deposit, quickly and securely online. This deposit will show as a credit on your account and is refundable until June 1, 2024. Once submitted, it will unlock all of the additional steps below when applicable. If you need help retrieving your Applicant Portal details, contact [email protected] or call 601-974-1050.
- Financial Planning: If you haven’t already, submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order to receive a full financial aid package. Don’t forget to add our school code: 002414. Our goal is to ensure that Millsaps will be a good financial fit for all four years of your undergraduate experience. Once you receive a financial aid package, you can review it in your application portal.
- Housing: Based on your decision to live on or off campus, please complete the appropriate form:
- Housing Form
- Decline Housing Form
- Medical Forms and Immunization Records: Review the Immunization Requirements policy for admission. You will submit a completed Health History form to Wesson Health Center. It can be emailed to [email protected]. If you have any questions, please call 601-974-1207.
- Housing: Based on your decision to live on or off campus, please complete the appropriate form:
