It’s human nature
If you minor in sociology, you’ll study human behavior in a variety of situations and under varying circumstances. You’ll examine the breadth of human lives, including topics such as criminal justice/criminology, politics, economics, gender and religion, in an attempt to make sense out of human history and human endeavors.

SOAN 2140 Crime and Prisons
In this course you’ll utilize a sociological perspective to examine the nature of crime, the creation of crime, criminals, and the past and contemporary penal system.
SOAN 3300 Health and Illness
A sociological investigation of the social and cultural factors around health and illness. We will also explore formal and informal organizations shaping health and illness.
