McNair Fund for Christian Missions
The David C. McNair Endowment for Christian Missions

Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as you ever can.
– John Wesley, theologian
The David C. McNair Fund for Christian Missions (the McNair Fund) was established through the generosity of David McNair, a Millsaps alumnus and local businessman. The McNair Fund provides funds to support life-changing experiences for Millsaps students wishing to follow in the words of John Wesley by doing all the good they can through international Christian mission work.
Individual and Group Missions
The primary focus of the McNair Fund is to provide supplemental funds for Millsaps students and groups desiring to participate in international Christian mission work. While on these trips, students and groups connect with local churches to provide services such as vacation Bible school for children, share sacred music and assist the community as needed.
McNair Missions Symposium
The annual McNair Missions Symposium provides an opportunity for the Millsaps community to delve into topics related to mission work. Each year, a keynote speaker touches on topics such as the history of missions, missiology or global Christianity. In addition, students who participated in McNair Fund mission trips can connect with others interested in mission work.
Mission Scholars Program
The new McNair Mission Scholars Program will award $1,000 annually to 16 individuals from the entering class of students who seek to participate in international Christian mission work. McNair Scholars can choose to use these funds annually or bank the funds up to $4,000. These funds can only be used for international Christian mission work and may not be used toward tuition costs.
