Millsaps College is expanding opportunities to elite education for the state’s brightest students with the launch of the Millsaps Advantage Scholarship. This scholarship will cover the cost of tuition and fees for high-achieving students from across Mississippi.
“The Millsaps Advantage Scholarship is designed to open the door to a top-tier education for the state’s highest-achieving Pell-eligible students,” said Aaron Pelch, vice president of enrollment and admissions. “By investing in these exceptional students and encouraging them to pursue their education right here at home, we’re working to retain Mississippi’s most promising talent and strengthen the state’s future — while helping each student build a strong foundation for theirs.”
Beginning with the incoming class of Fall 2026, Pell-eligible Mississippi students who apply to Millsaps and meet the academic criteria, including a minimum 3.5 GPA and a 25 or higher ACT score, will be automatically considered for the scholarship. The award is renewable for four years for students who continue to meet Millsaps’ academic standards.
The Millsaps Advantage Scholarship is designed to:

- Support long-term success by investing in students with the potential to become leaders in their communities and professions.
Millsaps graduates earn the highest average salary in Mississippi, and 90 percent are employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation. Millsaps also boasts acceptance rates double the national average for medical, dental and veterinary schools, which turn out crucial healthcare professionals across the state.
