The association, and each chapter, has six areas of focus: to assist the college in recruitment of prospective students (Admissions Committee); to encourage alumni giving (Giving Committee); to strengthen career networking opportunities (Career Development/Networking Committee); to build alumni engagement in the life of the College (Visibility and Engagement Committee); to support and develop alumni chapters (Chapter Development) and to assist in planning and implementing special events (Homecoming and Special Events Committee).

Organize a Millsaps Chapter
Alumni chapters range in size according to the local alumni population. It is our goal to establish chapters wherever there is alumni interest. If you are interested in establishing a local chapter in your area, please contact the Alumni Relations office at 601-974-1007 or [email protected].
- Provide opportunities for alumni to socialize and network through social and educational activities in their own communities.
- Help alumni stay connected to their alma mater by keeping them informed about Major events at Millsaps or simply by providing the opportunity for alumni to share their memories of their years at Millsaps.
- Encourage social and professional networking among alumni, parents and friends of the college.
- Serve as ambassadors of the college to their local communities.
To be recognized as an official Millsaps Chapter, and to receive all services provided therein, a chapter shall:
- Demonstrate that it is formed to promote the interests of Millsaps College and its alumni by maintaining a mutually beneficial relationship.
- Inform the Office of Alumni Relations of all chapter-sponsored events and submit an Alumni Chapter Event Report after each event.
Alumni Awards
You may submit nominations for award recipients by filling out the form at the link to the right or by sending a letter or email to the Alumni and Parent Relations (APR) Office, [email protected]. While we accept nominations year-round, the awards are presented during spring reunion weekend.
Employees of the College, current members of the Alumni Association’s Board of Directors and the college’s Board of Trustees are not eligible during their term of employment or volunteer service. These awards are given for outstanding achievement and no compromises diminishing the significance of the awards will be made.
