Premier Scholarships Cover Full Tuition & Fees!
Are you an academic high performer? Are you looking for a competitive edge in employment? Do you want focused preparation geared toward admission to graduate programs and prestigious postgraduate fellowships?
Our Premier Scholarship offers our most competitive package for our most promising students. The scholarships cover the full cost of tuition and fees at Millsaps.
In addition to the financial award, each of the 16 Premier Scholarships provide you with a community of distinguished, highly motivated peers. Over four years, you will share experiences that enrich your education and prepare you for focused achievements in scholarship or service.
Together, you will take part in an honors-level course track as well as community exploration and engagement. You will connect with interests, strengths and networks curated for your personal and professional development.
As part of your scholarship, you are guaranteed support for an experiential learning opportunity. This includes study abroad, paid internships, paid research assistantships or a summer stipend to support fellowship programs.
Millsaps also helps you level-up with our Pathways program. This four-year program is integrated into the curriculum. Pathways puts you in the driver’s seat for career exploration and allows you to connect your interests through academics, relationships and experiences.
Premier Scholarship Experience
As a Premier Scholar, you will receive educational enrichment opportunities, including:
- A shared first-year curriculum with other Premier Scholars
- A sophomore experience to prepare for the Honors Program
- A Vocation Ethics and Society capstone project
- Focused preparation for prestigious postgraduate fellowships
- Guaranteed support for at least one experiential learning opportunity such as study abroad, paid internship, paid research experience or a stipend for summer fellowship programs
You will be placed into a group of students who share similar interests. Your group will be housed in living/learning communities to provide active, interactive and dynamic settings to grow and thrive.
As a Premier Scholar, you will have a faculty/staff mentor and benefit from the built-in support systems that come from living and working with outstanding peers.

Application Requirements
Become a Millsaps Premier Scholar. Application Requirements
You must have an unweighted minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and a minimum ACT score of 28 or 1300 on the SAT. A complete application for the Premier Scholarship includes the following:
- Standard Millsaps application or Common Application must be completed before applying for Premier Scholarship
- Premier Scholarship Application comprising the following:
- One short essay response to provided prompts. Essays must be between 500 and 700 words.
- Two letters of recommendation. One should be from a teacher, counselor or principal; one should be from a coach, an employer or a mentor. Letters should not come from a relative.
- Optional portfolio of work demonstrating your achievements in relevant areas (academic, artistic, performative, leadership, etc.).
