Visiting Assistant Professor in Economics

I am currently serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor in Economics at the Else School of Management. I completed my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in 2024, where my dissertation explored the intersections of aging, marital stability, and mental health. My research interests lie at the crossroads of labor economics, family economics, and health economics. I’m particularly intrigued by topics such as the relationship between household wealth and divorce rates among older adults, and the long-term economic implications of ADHD.In the classroom, I strive to make economics accessible and engaging for my students. I teach a range of courses including microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. My efforts in teaching were recognized with the William L. Holahan Prize for Outstanding Teaching at UWM.Fluent in Bengali, English, and Hindi, I bring a multicultural perspective to both my research and teaching. When I am not doing economics, you might find me on the tennis court, enjoying a game.I am always eager to discuss economics, research collaborations, or even exchange a few tennis tips.
