I serve as a student success coach at Millsaps College, where I focus on providing services related to retention management, outreach and intervention for undergraduate students and the college as a whole. My ultimate goal is to become a catalyst leader, enabling me to offer a listening ear to individuals and better serve the community in a higher capacity. I find my validation in God alone, which drives me to be a believer, inspirer and servant to others. I live by the Zeta mantra that “all is conquered by labor.”
While in my role as a secondary mathematics educator for JPSD, I was honored to receive Teacher of the Year in my first year and later became a Teacher Champion for Algebra I. During a brief stint as the retention and withdrawal officer for student success at Jackson State University, I gained valuable experience in creating a culture for education during COVID-19 pandemic. Transitioning to the role of instructional coach in CPSD, I provided essential academic support for both teachers and students. My time in CPSD holds a special place in my heart, as it was there that I found purpose and thrived within the educational system.
