Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Hello! I am a scientist and professor because I am fascinated by the quantum world and would like to invite you to join me in that strange universe. My research utilizes computer simulation to uncover new chemical mechanism insights and help guide novel catalyst development. My favorite topics to teach are quantum mechanics, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics and kinetics, but I also love making connections with disciplines, not typically considered related to chemistry. Teaching is an ever-evolving discipline and so I am always experimenting with how to structure my classes to improve equity and achievement of learning outcomes. Right now I am experimenting with specifications grading in my Physical Chemistry I course.
