Assistant Professor of Government and Politics

I started teaching at Millsaps College in fall 2023, having previously taught at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, where I also served as the pre-law advisor. At Millsaps, I teach introductory and upper-level courses on American politics, political philosophy, free speech, First Amendment jurisprudence, and applied research methods. In addition to my teaching and research duties, I coordinate several internships for students, including the Legislative Fellows program, where students intern at the Mississippi State Capitol. Inside and outside the classroom, I encourage students to engage in dialogue across political differences and develop their voices as critical, creative democratic participants.
