James Kennedy

I guide the students who serve as research & technology assistants at the library. I also do what I can to help students, faculty, and staff succeed whether it’s via research assistance, bibliographic instruction, or other methods. Before joining the Millsaps faculty in August 2023, I was employed in different capacities at Hinds Community College. Prior to that, my first professional position was Reference Librarian at the public library in Laurel, Mississippi. I’ve held different roles in the Mississippi Library Association, previously served as an adjunct history instructor, and was a freelance sports writer.
