I hold degrees in vocal performance from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and choral conducting from the University of Mississippi. I am currently a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting at the University of South Carolina. I have presented recitals and concerts throughout the South, both as a vocalist and conductor. My research has focused on Parisian music of the Renaissance and English music from the turn of the 20th century, with a focus on the works of composers impacted by the Great War. Prior to coming to Millsaps, I was an integral part of the musical life of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Columbia, South Carolina, as the director of the Choir of Young Men, voice and sight singing instructor, and baritone soloist. Originally from the Delta town of Rolling Fork, I am glad to be making music in my home state with the choirs at Millsaps College and the choirs of St. James’ Episcopal Church in Jackson.
