I am an artist primarily using printmaking in my studio practice. I see the artist’s role as an observer—one witness to the world’s happenings, compelled and responsible for creating and sharing their interpretation. I strive to communicate the connections observed and discovered between diverse subjects in my artwork. These themes become filtered through my experiences and perceptions and then revealed to my audience. The work becomes a looking glass, inviting the viewer to observe the world through a lens not their own. This interaction between art and the audience creates a dialog that connects art and life, becoming the cultural foundation of society.
My work has been exhibited in regional and national exhibitions, including Space One Eleven Gallery, Delaware Art Museum, Delaware Center for the Contemporary Arts, Orange County Center of Contemporary Art, Crane Arts and Painted Bride Art Center, and Morgan Conservatory. I served as Art Program Director for the Big Read Grant from the National Endowment for the Arts in 2015-2016. I was responsible for curating and installing the Lesley Dill exhibition Lesley Dill and Emily Dickinson: Poetry and Art.
