Assistant Professor of Theatre

I am a multidisciplinary theater artist who has worked for colleges, universities and professional theaters. I have directed over 50 productions, including “Tartuffe” at Rice University, “Les Liaisons Dangereuses;” “The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie” and “Macbeth” at University of Houston; and “Blood Wedding” at Southeastern Louisiana University. At New Stage Theatre I directed and designed the sets for “A Year with Frog and Toad” and “A Christmas Carol.” At Millsaps I lead the Millsaps Players, the production arm of the theater program. Here I have directed “Metamorphoses,” “Equus,” “Eurydice,” “An Evening with David Ives,” “Passage” and “Legacy of Light.” I also serve as the faculty advisor for the Alpha Pi chapter of Alpha Psi Omega, the national theater honor society. As a lifetime member of the Southeastern Theatre Conference, I have served as a past chair of the Publications Committee and the Theatre History, Theory, Literature, and Criticism Committee. I serve on the Board of Directors of SETC as the state representative for Mississippi. Currently, I am the coordinator of the Denise Halbach Scholarship for Graduate Studies in Performance.
