I am a papermaker, printmaker and book artist. My creative work explores clothing as material culture, uncovering implicit narratives from garments and the bodies that inhabit them. I employ a variety of techniques, including cyanotypes, screenprinting, stitching, bookmaking, and handmade paper with blowouts, with a particular emphasis on the latter.
In 2017, I was awarded the Artist’s Book Residency Grant at the Women’s Studio Workshop in upstate New York. I have served as an artist-in-residence at Sulfur Studios in Savannah, the Kimmel Nelson Harding Center in Nebraska City, the Penland School of Crafts near Asheville and the Minnesota Center for Book Arts in Minneapolis. My work is regularly featured in juried and curated exhibitions nationwide, and many of my pieces are housed in special collections across the country, including those at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Library of Congress and Harvard University.
