Visiting Assistant Professor of Mathematics

I grew up in Vietnam and came to America at 17 for college. I studied at SUNY Plattsburgh in upstate New York, earning a B.S. in math and finance. After two years working as a financial analyst in New York, I pursued a Master’s in mathematics for teachers at Western New England University, followed by a Ph.D. in math at Tulane University.

Teaching math is my passion. I believe learning is a shared path between the instructor and students. Being a good teacher means being a good listener and allowing students to make mistakes and ask questions. I see teaching math as a playground for both students and myself. I am constantly looking for different and better ways to engage my students. I want to share the joy of math with each and every one of them.
