The Charles A. Frueauff Foundation has awarded $25,000 to Millsaps College in continued support for the college’s Center for Academic Success and Excellence (CASE). CASE provides a “one-stop” experience for students to work with their peers to strengthen their academic performance at Millsaps.
Funding from the Frueauff Foundation will be used to strengthen the knowledge, skills and experience of the peer consultants, improve existing technology and academic resources and develop creative strategies for engaging more students in the utilization of CASE.
“The Frueauff Foundation has been a valued partner of Millsaps College over the years, and their generous gifts have helped transform our approaches to education,” said Dr. Robert W. Pearigen, president of Millsaps. “This gift is particularly opportune as the college welcomed one of its largest incoming classes in a decade this fall.”
This latest gift from the Foundation pushes their support over the $1 million mark. Past gifts have been used to support the college’s Center for Career Education, curriculum development, improvements to the Millsaps-Wilson library and many other technology and infrastructure upgrades.
The Frueauff Foundation is based in Little Rock, Arkansas.
