The Gulf Scholars Program is a new interdisciplinary initiative funded by the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine. We are proud to be one of only two liberal arts colleges in the nation participating in this prestigious program.

CMGS 1000 Environmental Justice and Resilience in the Gulf South
This course explores key issues related to sustainability and environmental justice in the Gulf South region, while introducing students to strategies and frameworks for driving social change.
CGMS 3700 Change-Making in the Gulf South Impact Project I
Students design and implement a Gulf South Impact project that seeks to make a difference on an issue of sustainability or environmental justice in the Gulf South, under the mentorship of selected faculty.
