Strong relationships with alumni and donors depend on clear communication, accurate records and systems that make it easy to stay connected. To ensure that happens, Millsaps College recently named Bonnie Dorman as Manager of Advancement Information Systems in the Office of Institutional Advancement.
In this new role, Bonnie will help ensure alumni, parents and donors receive timely, accurate information and a more seamless experience when engaging with Millsaps. Her work will strengthen how the college manages data related to fundraising, alumni relations and donor stewardship, supporting better communication, stronger relationships and more meaningful engagement across the Millsaps community.
“Accurate and easy-to-reference data is vital to everything we do,” Bonnie said. “I’m excited to help make it easier for people to stay connected to Millsaps and see the impact of their support.”
Dorman transitions into Institutional Advancement from the Else School of Management at Millsaps, where she supported academic operations and worked extensively with data organization and system improvements. Her background includes developing workflows, improving data accuracy and helping teams use technology more effectively.
As Manager of Advancement Information Systems, Bonnie will serve as the department’s primary technical and data resource. She will focus on creating clear processes and procedures for data entry and management, improving system consistency and working closely with Millsaps Information Technology team to enhance platforms that support fundraising and alumni engagement.
“Bonnie brings a thoughtful, detail‑oriented approach to systems and data, along with a strong understanding of how behind‑the‑scenes work directly impacts relationships,” said Kathleen Terry‑Sharp, vice president of Institutional Advancement. “Her leadership will help us better serve alumni and donors by ensuring our information is accurate, accessible and working in support of meaningful connections.”
A Millsaps alumna with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry, Bonnie brings both institutional knowledge and technical skill to the role. Her work will play an important part in strengthening the systems that support philanthropy and long‑term engagement at Millsaps.
