What happens when classroom learning meets real-world experience? Meet Charlie, Segen and Allison, three Millsaps College students who reflect on their study abroad experience in Africa, where they explored politics, biology and wildlife conservation firsthand. From learning about conservation policy to understanding the challenges facing African wildlife, these students share how studying abroad expanded their perspectives — academically and personally. At Millsaps College, experiential learning goes beyond the classroom. Study abroad programs like this give students the opportunity to engage globally, connect theory to practice and gain a deeper understanding of complex issues affecting our world.
