VIDEO: Move-In Day & Welcome Week 2025

Move-In Day is more than just unpacking. It’s a powerful display of community. Faculty, staff, students and alumni all come together to welcome new students and their families by helping them settle into their dorms, showing just how deeply we care. The energy continues through Welcome Week, a seven-day experience designed to help students feel at home on campus, build friendships and explore the Jackson area before classes begin. From food trucks and dance parties to snow cones, a mechanical bull and live music, the week is packed with unforgettable moments. But it’s not just about fun — students also participate in meaningful service projects around Jackson and write letters to their future selves to be opened when they graduate. It’s a week that captures the heart of the Millsaps experience: community, connection and purpose.
