Welcome Week
Welcome to Millsaps!
Move-In Day for new students is Monday, August 11! Before you travel to Jackson and arrive on campus be sure to do the following:
- Review the list of recommended/prohibited items and the 2025–2026 Housing Agreement.
- Label all items with your name, building, and room number (e.g. John Doe, Ezelle Hall, Room 313).
- Pay your student account in full or enroll in Major Pay with up-to-date installments made to be cleared for move-in. Any delinquent accounts will delay move-in until payment is made. Contact 601-974-1100 with any questions regarding your student account.
- Complete all required financial aid/loan documents at www.studentaid.gov, if needed. Contact 601-974-1220 with any financial aid questions.
- Submit your medical documentation to the Wesson Health Center. After registering for classes you will be able login into your student health portal with your Millsaps credentials and fill out the health history form as well as upload your immunization records.
- Submit your Student ID/Vehicle Registration by Wednesday, July 30.
- Acquire Renter’s/Dorm Insurance to protect against damage or loss.

New students residing on south campus in Ezelle Hall and New South Hall should exit I-55 at Woodrow Wilson Boulevard and travel westbound. Go through the intersection at North State Street and pass the softball and tennis facilities. Turn left on North West Street. Turn left at the light located at Wesley Avenue. Enter campus via the gate house next to the Visual Arts Complex (VAC). Once students have unloaded, they should report to the New South Hall atrium to check-in.
The move-in schedule is as follows for new students:
8 a.m. – 3rd floor New South, 2nd floor Ezelle, and Bacot Hall
9 a.m. – 2nd floor New South and 1st floor Ezelle
10 a.m. – 1st floor New South
Residential transfer students will be contacted with details regarding their assigned move-in time for Monday, August 11.
Families are welcome to join us for lunch in the cafeteria after residents are settled. Welcome Week programming continues for new students after the Parent Reception concludes and families depart at 3:30 p.m.
Non-residential students, new to the Millsaps community, should review the Welcome Week schedule and be familiar with sessions where attendance is required.
Returning football players will check-in on Monday, August 11 between 12 and 1:30 p.m. Those on north campus should report to Student Life on the third floor of the College Center. Any residing on south campus should check-in in the New South atrium.
Upper-class students may check in on Tuesday, August 12 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Those checking in to Bacot or Sanderson should report to the Office of Student Life on the third floor of the College Center. Southside residents should check-in in the atrium of New South. Any choosing to arrive after August 12 should contact Student Life in advance (601-974-1200) to inquire about picking up paperwork and keys.
