The City of Jackson is still impacted by low and no water pressure, but the situation is improving. As pressure slowly returns throughout campus, please do not attempt to flush toilets or utilize other water fixtures until they can be inspected.  In addition, if you should notice water accumulating, please call campus safety so that the valves to fixtures can be turned off until they can be inspected and/or repaired.

The shower trailers are now fully functional for residential students and staff beginning this evening, Wednesday, February 24. Shower trailers are now located in the parking lot of the Academic Complex. To enhance the security of the area, the gate from Park Avenue will be closed and locked until further notice.

Trailer shower hours include:
• 7:00 a.m. through 10:00 a.m.
• 5:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m.

The shower trailers are gender-specific and ADA-compliant. They are available to residential students and staff on a first-come, first-served basis and will be monitored during open hours and locked at all other times. Bottled water and hand sanitizer will be located inside the shower trailers; please do not drink any water with the exception of the bottled water.

In addition, the water pressure is back up in Goodman Hall, and the residence hall has been completely cleaned and disinfected. Showers are available in Goodman tonight (2/24) from 5:00 p.m. through 8:00 p.m. as well as tomorrow, February 25, from 7:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Come to 101 Goodman and you will be issued a key to a room with a shower. Please remember, however, the City of Jackson is still under a boil water notice, so do not drink the water in Goodman Hall.

Port-a-potties are currently available on the plaza between the College Center and the HAC; in the parking lot of the AC; and on the circle drive between Sanderson and Olin.
