Combining both the production and cultural side of film, the film studies minor teaches you about the business and artistic sides of film production and gives you hands-on experience in creating visual art. This course also provides an overview of cultural and practical issues in film art.

FILM 2300 Film Genres
Students learn the theory, history and criticism of three film genres over the course of the semester by watching films in class and actively discussing/debating the unique qualities of each genre.
COMM 3300 Media Production
An introduction to digital media production for the internet, broadcast, and social media platforms. Develop the skills and techniques of storytelling, lighting, composition, audio recording and editing of image and sound.
