The Millsaps theatre program offers you the chance to be involved from the moment you step on campus. There is a role for everyone — director, designer, actor, painter, technician, builder and more. Spanning 100 years, the Millsaps Players have a tradition of producing high-quality productions and meaningful experiences for all involved. You will have opportunities to work with students and faculty from across campus, guest artists, alumni, and members of the Greater Jackson theatre community.

THEA 1500 Acting I - Foundations in Realism
Explore the Stanislavski System of acting. Topics include concentration, sensory physical work, working with emotion, making choices and scene analysis. This class has both written and performance assignments.
THEA 1710 Improvisation I
Experience the joy of no plans or judgements at all as you build your skills as an instant live theatremaker. Students of all levels join this class to create scenes and whole stories for hilarious, unforgettable live performances on campus.

Pathways
Our curriculum emphasizes problem solving and critical thinking skills essential to any career (and therefore any Pathway), as well as scientific writing and experimentation skills that may be especially critical to students interested in any of our six Pathways tracks.
